Men are gone, they’re all GONE.

Do you wanna know how I can tell my campus was the idea of a man?

Who in their right mind thinks of locating a whole ass campus with 7+ universities in an agricultural area next to a women’s prison next to a cemetery...

I personally would rather shit a brick than take the metro every day at 7 in the morning and pass by all of that. But when you belong to the poor, you have no choice.

Same parkour, every day—you step into the metro station and do your best to disassociate from your environment.

Religion keeps me sane, that’s all I’m gonna say—I am grateful.

My point is, this institution was man-built 40+ years ago when women weren’t included that much in higher education. 40+ years later, you walk into these places and it’s 95% women. Every class I took was 16 girls and 3 boys max. I even started to realize women were driving 65% of public transportation.

What about the president, you say? Woman, of course!!!

Each time I step foot in university, I take a look around and think how proud our ancestors must’ve felt. For a third-world country, we’re doing great—have you seen America? I mean, I grew up in an all-women family and mostly great fathers who took religion as a way of life, not a culture—we as women had always been taken seriously.

Except that’s not reality anymore. Stepping into adulthood made me realize not every male is my father. In fact, there are no males left—they’re all GONE.

I should be happy, right? You must think it’s becoming safe and easier and more secure.

Nah, nah, nah—they’re still here behind the scenes—they thrive in crimes, theft, violence, and war...

I believe we women in Tunisia were tricked into holding the whole country on our backs for men to sit and thrive and enjoy the princess treatment—as if they’ve never had it.

Most of the police officers are women now.

Women face challenges even in a country dominated by women. Again because it was built and structured by men.

We could never even participate in the 4b movement.

But for the first time, my mind went elsewhere; Men remain a problem even in their absence.

But I am enjoying something women around the world crave.

Every time I look around, I see a woman enjoying themselves, tired but happy. The majority of men, on the other hand, are nowhere to be found, and the few left are our strongest ally soldiers.

"And nothing provokes more than the sight of a woman enjoying herself," Marmee. Little Women, 1994.

I am not saying we live in a barbie pink women dominated world because we're really far from that.

But mostly no one’s provoked in this story. They’re nearly gone, and we’re in this together, exploring ways to finally live a life without the burden of carrying men around.
